As animators, educators, and historians ourselves, Hal and I want to expose new audiences young and old to the varied forms of our passion.
By sponsoring a festival, we can encourage new exploration by worldwide artists and storytellers. 
And what better way than to create an international forum for anyone who has followed their artistic vision to share it with others who might not ever know or see their work otherwise! 
Lets spread the magic.  Animation is truly a universal language!

Judging is over for the 2011 SIAF Entries!  A big thank you to all our wonderful judges over the 3 day period.  The caliber of the animated films was astounding!  We would also like to thank Volunteer Jenna Wylie for starting the tabulation process on Sunday!

We have lost not only one of this Earths true gentlemen, but also one of the Earths true visionary's.  I have had the great opportunity over the years to talk and get to know Art from time to time.  The one thing more than anything I took from our meetings was to always follow your heart in whatever you do in life.  Whether it's creating stop motion animation or just an everyday task, follow your heart.  The name of our animation studio is Imagimation Studios; Art truly had "Imagimation".  "If you've got a heart then Gumby's a part of you".  Our deepest sympathy to the Clokey family.  Hal Miles
